if more people - especially people of the left leberal common sense - could feel that the german xenophobia is less based on an essential hatred but rather on a sadness of vanishing roots and an enduring diminuition of tradition and national (read: natural) self-confidence, it were probably much easier to bridge the growing gap between nationalism und multicultural postnational tolerance.
an honest tolerant open-minded behaviour and a deep connection to ones roots and origin fit together in a perfect way. it is an important path towards a coherent, holistic, modern existence.
